Overview

About rubble master & mccloskey blow bars

Compact mobile impactors from Rubble Master, McCloskey and Eagle spend much of their life on demolition and recycling sites, crushing reinforced concrete, brick and asphalt. That feed almost always contains rebar and other tramp metal.

For that duty Melco generally recommends austenitic manganese steel or a martensitic grade rather than high chrome. The bar needs to survive a rebar strike without fracturing, and manganese steel deforms where high chrome would break.

We supply these bars in weight-matched sets, palletised and strapped for direct container loading. This is one of our higher-volume export lines.

Applications

  • Rubble Master, McCloskey and Eagle mobile impactors
  • Reinforced concrete and demolition waste
  • Asphalt and road planings recycling
  • On-site crushing spreads with mixed feed
  • Brick, block and construction waste processing
Features

What you get

Built for tramp metal

Manganese and martensitic grades that deform rather than fracture when rebar goes through.

Matched sets, palletised

Weight-matched and strapped to heat-treated pallets, ready for container loading.

High-volume export line

Regular production runs mean patterns are already tooled for the common models.

Grade guidance included

We advise on grade for your actual feed rather than shipping a single default alloy.

Questions

Rubble Master & McCloskey Blow Bars: common questions

Which alloy is best for crushing reinforced concrete?

Austenitic manganese steel to ASTM A128 is the usual choice. It work-hardens at the wear face while staying tough through the body, so a rebar strike deforms the bar instead of cracking it. A martensitic grade is a reasonable middle ground where the concrete is lightly reinforced.

How long should a set of blow bars last on demolition work?

Life varies far too much with feed, setting and operator practice for a single figure to be meaningful. What we can do is help you benchmark tonnes per set on your own machine and then compare grades against that baseline.

Do you supply for both Rubble Master and McCloskey machines?

Yes, along with Eagle and other compact mobile impactors. Send the machine model and we will confirm the fitment.

Are these original manufacturer parts?

No. These are independently produced replacement wear parts made to fit those machines. Melco Castings is not affiliated with or endorsed by Rubble Master, McCloskey or Eagle.
